Nanded is
mainly known as pilgrim center for Sikhs. The central bus
stand and Railway Station are at the heart of city. Tourist
places located around Nanded are easily approachable by State
Transport buses as well as private travels starting from
Kalamandir.
Air: Considering development of the city, the national airport
authority has approved a plan for expansion of the airport.
Aurangabad is a convenient airport from where daily flights to
Mumbai (40min) are operated by various domestic airlines.

Nanded is having direct connectivity by train from Mumbai,
Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Amritsar, Bhopal, Indore, Agra,
Hyderabad, Jaipur, Ajmer, Aurangabad and Nashik.
Northern Railway will be running these special
trains to Nanded for 300 Saal Guru de Naal celebrations.

SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN
Howrah-Nanded (0860) superfast train will depart Howrah at
2:35 p.m. on October 1, 5, 9, 13, 18, 21, 25, 28 & November 1,
4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25 and 29 and arrive in Nanded at 8: 25
p.m.
Nanded-Howrah (0859) superfast train will depart Nanded at
1:55 p.m. on October 3, 7, 11, 15, 20, 23, 27 and 30 and
November 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24 & 27, December 1 and arrive
in Howrah at 7:30 p.m. the next day.
2716A/2715A AMRITSAR-NANDED SUPERFAST SPECIAL
TRAIN
The 2716A Amritsar-Nanded Superfast Special train will depart
from Amritsar on 20,24 & 28.9.2008 & from 1.10.2008 to
10.11.2008 at 1.40 p.m. and will arrive at Nanded at 4.00 a.m.
the third day. While the 2715A Nanded-Amritsar Supefast
Special train will depart from Nanded on 22,26 & 30.9.2008 &
from 3.10.2008 to 12.11.2008 at 10.50 a.m. and will arrive at
Amritsar at 11.00 p.m. the next day.
Consisting of A.C. 2 Tier, A.C. 3 Tier, second class sleeper
and general second class coaches the 2715A/2716A Superfast
special train will stop at Jalandhar Cantt.,
Ludhiana, Sirhind, Ambala,
Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Delhi Safdarjang, Agra Cantt.,
Jhansi, Bhopal, Itarsi, Khandwa, and Manmar stations in both
the directions.
2716B/2715B CHANDIGARH-NANDED A.C. SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN
The 2716B Chandigarh-Nanded A.C. Superfast
Special will depart from Chandigarh
on 21, 26.9.2008 & from 1.10.2008 to 10.11.2008 at 9.25 a.m.
and will arrive at Nanded at 5.40 p.m. the next day. While its
return service 2715B will depart from Nanded on 23, 28.9.2008
& from 3.10.2008 to 12.11.2008 at 7.45 a.m. to arrive at
Chandigarh at 4.00 p.m. the next day.
Consisting of A.C. 2 Tier, A.C. 3 Tier coaches & Ist A.C.
coaches the 2716B/2715B Superfast special train will stop at
Ambala, Panipat, Delhi Safdarjang, Jhansi, Bhopal, , Khandwa,
Bhusaval and Manmar stations in both the directions. The 2715
B will stop at Itarsi station also.
2716C/2715C FEROZEPUR-NANDED SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAIN
The 2716C Ferozepur-Nanded Superfast Special
train will depart from Ferozepur from 15.10.2008 to 10.11.2008
at 10.15 p.m. and will arrive at Nanded at 12.40 p.m. (noon)
the third day. While the 2715C Nanded-Ferozepur Supefast
Special train will depart from Nanded from 17.10.2008 to
12.11.2008 at 8.30 p.m. and will arrive at Ferozepur at 11.30
a.m. the third day.
Consisting of A.C. 2 Tier, A.C. 3 Tier, second class sleeper
and general second class coaches the 2715C/2716C Superfast
special train will stop at Faridkot, Kotkapura, Gangsar Jaitu,
Goneana, Bhatinda, Bamala, Dhuri, Patiala, Rajpura, Ambala,
Panipat, Sonepat, Delhi Safdarjung, Jhansi, Bhopal, Itarsi,
Khandwa and Manmar stations in both the directions.
Road: It
is very easy to access Nanded by bus, State Transport or
private Travels is also very convenient because of large
frequencies of buses. State Transport Buses are available from
Mumbai, Aurangabad, Pune, and Hyderabad to Nanded; Distances
from other cities: Mumbai is 650-km, Aurangabad is 265-km, and
Hyderabad is 270-km.
Local Transportation: One can conveniently go to any part of
the city by shared Auto Rickshaws (3 wheelers) and also by
City Buses.
